The MBS Story

MBSconnect (Mind-Body-Soul Connect) is an innovative and interactive wellness resource company, serving as a bridge between the wellness community and the world-at-large. The mission of MBSconnect is to help America be well by providing easy access to progressive programs, products, and providers.

MBSconnect was created out of an economic and systemic awareness that putting a band aid on a disjointed "healthcare" model no longer works and addressing a person's "broken" parts one at a time is like plugging up holes on a sinking ship. Rather, MBSconnect represents a truly holistic health and wellness paradigm from a compassionate perspective. MBSconnect stands for moving beyond the often times portrayal of "healthy" as actually one step above being sick. MBSconnect's intention is to empower people to thrive through holistic wellness education and integrated services for sustainable change and success.

Three years ago, three influences merged at approximately the same time that laid the foundation for MBSconnect to be born today. The first influence is reflected in the professional experience of the founder of MBSconnect, Lisa Rittberger. In the mid-1990's, Lisa, a board certified health care administrator, rolled out 29 healthcare centers across Central Europe. When she returned to the United States, Lisa began to focus more on the wellness paradigm which set off the second influence of MBSconnect's evolution.

After attending the wrong type of yoga class wearing the wrong kind of clothing, one of her friends dared her to put up a website, so that he and others could find wellness resources in the area more easily. Six months later, this website received 25,000 hits. Shortly thereafter, Lisa was invited to sponsor a wellness conference for the NY State Legislature. This was followed by focused conversations from a number of major corporations who were looking at preventative and sustainable ways to protect their profitability. This third influence solidified the knowledge that wellness is "a good idea whose time has come."

Presently, MBSconnect is building networks of wellness providers nationwide of all types of modalities who want to be part of the "wellness revolution." Services to corporations and organizations, as well as business building opportunities to wellness providers, include: virtual podcast library; onsite, long-term wellness educational presentations and programs; MBSspeaks wellness speaker's bureau; online retail store of wellness products; executive and wellness coaching corps; corporate retreat team; searchable website profile of wellness providers nationwide; wellness articles and glossary; schedule of local, regional and national events of wellness providers; and innovative wellness technology. These services, and more, offer powerful ways to legitimize holistic health and wellness in the mainstream and heal the chasm between disconnect and wholeness.

MBSconnect acknowledges that quantitative and qualitative assessment is critical to sustainable success at the corporate and personal level. To this end, metrics analysis is integrated to MBSconnect's approach in addition to awareness, education, and ongoing support and services.
